Each season, we collaborate on a limited-run ice cream flavor with our friends at Caffè Panna in Gramercy. This time around, inspiration came from all the amazing California citrus at its peak this time of year. We start with a mascarpone base and swirl through a tangy citrus curd made with Meyer lemons, mandarins, and Minneola tangelos.

Flaky sea salt is one of our favorite ways to bring out the flavor and add a little crunch to our dishes. Yes, even desserts. Slightly less "salty" than other salts, flaky sea salt (we love Maldon) can be sprinkled liberally before serving.
