ARE YOUR COOLER BAGS RETURNABLE?
At present, our courier service will take bag cooler bags and return them to us for reuse, but in the long run we'd like to take as much of our packaging as possible back from our customers...and eventually be using all non-disposable packaging. In the short run, the plastic containers we use are all recyclable and reusable (not to mention BPA-free) but we recognize that's not good enough, and see it as the start of a much longer journey toward doing away with single-use waste of any kind, especially plastic.
WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE THE FOOD?
We want to know! Food is a matter of a taste and we want to get to know yours. And we also make mistakes, and while we rigorously taste and test every ingredient and every component of our products, this business is an attempt to modestly scale a very hand and heart made kind of cooking. So if our hands accidentally sprinkled a bit too much salt for your liking, please tell us about it, and we will do everything in our power to get to know your taste and to make your experience better next time.
DO YOU HAVE GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS?
Definitely! Many of our dishes come with dry starch components in packets that are separate from the frozen mains. Without these glutinous starches, the dishes are often entirely gluten free. At this point, we do not offer gluten free alternatives for these starches, but do let us know if that is of interest, and stay tuned! Feel free to check our always up to date ingredient lists on any dishes you are curious about. Our food is not produced in a certified gluten free facility.
WHAT KIND OF OIL DO YOU USE?
Organic sunflower oil, organic olive oil, and organic canola oil.
WHAT STANDARDS DO USE USE IN SELECTING YOUR INGREDIENTS?
Ipsa was inspired by the awareness that peak season produce is unparalleled and that the freezer is the best possible way to preserve the nutrients and flavor within. Ipsa - itself - it all starts with the ingredients. And we’ve built our entire business model in a way that does not force us to sacrifice on the quality of ingredients we use. But no single rule or certification guides our ingredient selection. Yes local organic seasonal sustainable biodynamic pasture raised heirloom...are some of our favorite descriptors, but the full picture of an ingredient is often far more complicated than any single word can indicate. We strive to investigate and understand the full picture of every ingredient we consider and select the ones we are most excited to eat and to share with you.

WHEN DO YOU DELIVER?
Our delivery dates vary week-to-week, but we typically offer delivery between 5-10pm on Mondays and Tuesdays. As we grow, we plan to offer more options and narrower delivery windows.
ON THE DAY OF, HOW WILL IKNOW WHEN MY DELIVERY WILL ARRIVE?
We send our customers a text message notification when the driver is en route, including an ETA and a tracking link to monitor the driver’s progress. As we grow, we plan to offer more options and narrower delivery windows.
CAN I CHANGE MY DELIVERY DATE / TIME?
Yes. The easiest way to do this is to email us at email@example.com.
CAN YOU DELIVER TO MY OFFICE?
Our delivery window is 5-10pm. While we hope to be able to offer more precise delivery windows in the future, this is not yet a feature of the service that delivers our food. If someone is there to receive the delivery between 5-10pm at your place of work and it falls within our delivery zone, we are happy to send your food there. When placing your order, please don’t hesitate to explain any availability challenges with our delivery window and we will do our best to accommodate you!
WHAT IF I LIVE JUST A LITTLE BIT OUTSIDE THE DELIVERY ZONE?
Let us know! We currently deliver to many parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan, but if you’re outside of the zone, shoot us an email and we’ll do our best to squeeze you in.
